Hokkaido University, Japan and Seoul National University, Korea have jointly held a symposium every year on a reciprocal basis since 1998 to commemorate the conclusion of an inter-university exchange agreement in 1997. The 28th event will be held at Hokkaido University. The symposium is to promote the university-wide cooperation through a plenary session, departmental research breakout sessions and a staff exchange programme.
